  1. ALEA Secretary Hal Taylor said all ALEA Driver License offices will be closed to public access beginning Thursday. Staff will remain on-site to answer phones or assist with online services. Due to the closure, the deadline for Alabama residents to obtain a STAR ID has been extended to Oct.
